Please tell us a little bit about you and your family.
I have lived in HHI since moving here in 1998 after meeting my now wife, Julie, in an AOL Chat Room while I was living in England.
Please tell us about your current career. Thing you love most about what you do.
President of our Real Estate Company. I never take the trust that our clients place with us for granted. Achieving their goals and objectives is always our highest priority. I love that no two days are the same and that I get to help our team members learn and grow.
What inspired you or led you to your current career?
My Wife Julie has been a successful Broker here on the island since 1983 and it was just a natural fit to get into the business and help support her.
What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?Â
Bernie’s Backyard 🙂 However, if I am going to go out, I love going anywhere that has live music! The Big Bamboo, The Jazz Corner, Hudson on the Dock on a Sunday Evening are just some of my favorites.
How long have you lived or worked in our community?Â
I moved here in 1998 and obtained my real estate license in 1999
Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are so many interesting people living in the Hilton head and Bluffton area that I’d have difficulty just choosing one.
If you could travel anywhere in the world (safely) right now, where would it be and why?Â
I’d travel to England to get together with my family. Being one of nine children I now have a lot of extended family to visit.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I’m not a big TV watcher – however lately I’ve enjoyed watching the Outlander series on Starz.
What advice would you give to people?
Don’t Panic!
What is something on your bucket list?
To travel to every country in the World!
What is your go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?Â
Probably Stevie Ray Vaughn or anything in the Blues genre.
What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I think this would be the Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Coligny Plaza – David Martins store was my first intro to shopping for food in the USA and remains one of the island’s best family-friendly stores.
If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?Â
The Queen of England. I’d have lunch in my backyard and just chat about the amazing life experiences she has during her reign.
What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The fact Hilton Head is shaped like a tennis shoe!
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully visiting all the countries around this amazing planet

I’m very shy!
